Speed, Power and Sustainability: The Must-Have Electric Motorbikes for 2021

While electric cars are becoming more and more common, the rise of the electric motorbike seems to be a little slower. However, they are gaining traction.

As electric vehicles cement themselves as the future of transportation, the two-wheeled variety is now a more viable option. Bikers are no longer being left behind – the best electric motorcycles require almost no maintenance, have zero emissions and provide all the power, speed and thrills of their petrol-powered cousins.

With iconic brands like Harley Davidson plugging into the electric motor market, the best electric motorbikes of 2021 are some magnificent machines.

Harley-Davidson LiveWire

You know an electric motorbike means business when it’s created by legendary brand Harley Davidson. The exciting concept became a reality in August of 2019 when the Harley-Davidson LiveWire hit the market. A sleek exterior covers the well-built motor and a 4.3-inch touchscreen display keeps you up to speed online.

Top speed is reached around 200 kph and 0-100 kph is handled in 2.8 seconds. The builders of the electric motorbike also produce pieces for F1 so it’s no surprise the bike is high on technology – keyless ignition, cruise control, traction control, and ABS are all included. Prices for this sleek machine start from A$37,400.
