From the moment you step onboard a Princess Yacht, the quality of design and construction is evident. It combines iconic British yacht building pedigree to deliver a versatile product that is at home while cruising through beautiful tropical archipelagos or the brisk open ocean.

The 17.6 metre Princess Yachts F55 is one of the most popular pleasure crafts in Australia. Greg Haines, Director of Princess Yachts Australia, took Iolande Skinner From The Deck on a tour of the luxury vessel during the Sydney International Boat Show 2022.

Striking features include enormous saloon windows to give those onboard the best chance at enjoying some of the wonderful locations on offer around Australia, from almost anywhere on the boat.

We haven’t had a show for three years and it has been really interesting to see how many people have come through that haven’t travelled to the other shows. We’ve had a really good response to the product. Now we’ve got two Princess Yachts on display, the F55 and also our S62. Sydney Harbour is a really good market for Princess Yachts and we just like our customers to come here.

Fantastic space-saving innovations onboard help owners to make the most out of their yacht. Hydraulics transform the saloon table into a smaller coffee table or even a large-scale formal dining table. The example on show in Sydney had wood floors but carpet is another option and the three bedrooms onboard are very well designed. There is a full beam master with ensuite, a VIP double suite and a twin suite that can hydraulically transform into a double.

The ever-popular flybridge is one of Princess Yachts’ best additions and one which they continue to improve. Vast lounging spaces both inside and out, with an excellent vantage point on the flybridge, make the F55 an ideal yacht for cruising, enjoying quality family time or entertaining.

Perfect for the Australian climate, it features a built-in fridge, built-in fold-out barbecue, sink, double helm seats and two multifunction displays. It can be enclosed or exposed, depending on the weather.

This is a truly versatile yacht, whether you like sunning in the tropical Whitsundays or enjoying a leisurely weekend cruise around the famous Sydney Harbour.
