As you might have heard, or not, Mercedes Benz is currently working on a new model of the GLB series that will be released in the middle of 2020.
The uniqueness of this new variation stems from its battery-electric design. This new model of the GLB series is also called EQB, and it will undoubtedly impress those who are fans of electric cars.
It’s worth mentioning that the EQB model will sit along with the EQA model. As the name suggests, the EQA variation is a car that comes directly from the GLA series.
When speed performance is brought to the discussion…
A total 9.1 seconds is the time that’s needed for the EQB model to accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour. It might not be the fastest car out there, but it’s an excellent pick for families that are primarily looking for style and comfort.
When it comes to speed and performance, this Mercedes GLB model will be designed with the same 225kW 2.0-litre engine as recent past models, with 4Matic AWD.
Unfortunately, unlike other MFA cars (the CLA and the A-class models), there won’t be a car from the GLB series with an engine producing more than 300kW soon.
It’s unnecessary to mention the comfort and convenience the seats provide. Mercedes has been known for quite some time to manufacture some of the most comfortable cars in the entire world. And that’s why it is a leading competitor in the car industry.
What’s unique about this new GLB electrical-motor based car, is that you can change the look of the gauge and the information that is delivered through numerous display styles. For example – browsing HD maps can be accomplished on either screen. Above the wheel, you’ll also be able to examine an optional head-up display that shows you the current speed at which you’re driving, along with route data.
One of the best features the EQB model comes with is the augmented-reality satellite navigation. It gives you a pleasant look over the map and navigates your correctly if you happen to find yourself in an overcrowded and unknown city.
The car will cost roughly $55, 000, which is actually quite a reasonable price based on the comfort and performance the EQB model delivers.
