Hardys Verandah Restaurant.

The Best Restaurants for Fine Dining, In and Around Adelaide

Georges on Waymouth

Known for its exquisite European and Mediterranean cuisine, the Georges on Waymouth is undeniable a crowd-pleaser.

The restaurant is widely respected in Adelaides CBD with award-winning dishes, fresh food produce, fine wines and excellent customer service. The dining room is stylish and minimalist with crisp linen table cloths, wooden floorboards and high ceilings.

The Menu

Georges’ menu is divine with house-made Parisian gnocchi, twice-cooked chicken breast and fresh local fish. We recommend choosing the “Feed Me” menu, where the chef feeds you a 5-course meal with matching wines.

Don’t feel like leaving the house? Georges also offers its “Georges To Go Packs,” so you can take fine dining to the comfort of your own home. The go-to pack’s favourites include lamb shoulder, roasted vegetables and tiramisu. But more importantly, it also includes a choice of 2019 Mother’s Milk Shiraz, Barossa Valley or 2020 ‘Endless Summer’ Pinot Grigio, Adelaide Hills.

Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant

Experience one of Australia’s finest food and wine experiences by visiting the Penfolds Magill Estate restaurant. Penfolds combines modern architectural style with its stunning Adelaide foothills location.

The fine-dining restaurant is located just 8 kilometres from Adelaide’s CBD and is known for its exemplary service.

The Menu

Penfold’s cuisine is inventive and inspired by season flavour, meaning the menu is often changing based on seasonal availability.

On the menu, we recommend lobster with kombu and fermented ice, as well as, the lamb with almond, kale and fenugreek.

Botanic Gardens Restaurant

Adelaide Botanic Gardens Restaurant is located in the heart of the Botanic Gardens and was previously awarded Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year at the Restaurant & Catering Awards in 2017.

This fine-dining restaurant mainly uses local produce and ingredients that can only be found within the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, giving you the true garden to plate experience.

Chef Justin’s philosophy is that every ingredient used must be close to perfect as it can be and the “food must be delicious, if not what is the point.”

The Menu

We recommend the seven-course meal, which includes Coffin Bay oysters with apple cucumber and lemon aspen, grilled wagyu, Shiitake mushroom fudge and matching wine.

Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant

The Mount Lofty House was built in 1852 for Arthur Hardy and became a venue for the most lavish parties, where Arthur would love to host Adelaide’s high society.

Today, the space has been transformed into Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant, letting you take the seat on his verandah where his summer friends once enjoyed.

The Menu

Overlooking the magnificent views of the Piccadilly Valley, you can enjoy a four to seven-course meal paired with a multi-award winning wine selection.

On the menu, we suggest the Pork Belly with chorizo jam and apple or King George Whiting with mustard dressing.
