The Dior Dress: Three Classic Styles For Any Occassion

Many people dream of owning a Dior dress. The French fashion house’s reputation for beautiful clothing is often epitomised in their luxury dress collection. While some of the most spectacular dresses remain on the runway, the fashion house makes a small selection of designer dresses available to purchase. These are our three favourite Dior dresses for your 2021 wardrobe.

The Short Dress

Christian Dior’s collection of short dresses is inspired by vintage styles and couture fashion. With neutral tones and subtle accessory features, the dresses offer elegantly timeless designs. Made in a lightweight wool and silk blend, this short black Dior dress features a sleek straight cut and a high collar design with three gold-toned CD buttons on the shoulder. You can pair this dress with some casual sneakers or knee-high black boots for a stylish winter look.

The Hooded Dior Dress

Christian Dior revealed its first capsule loungewear line in November last year. Designed during Italy’s extensive lockdown period by creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the line was an ode to the comfort dressing that the world turned to during the pandemic. Sitting somewhere between sportswear and classic silhouette – this hooded dress is an item that you can be worn casually with sneakers or for a cocktail work function with a statement heel. With three varieties available, our favourite Dior dress is the black and white technical taffeta Jacquard featuring the beloved Toile de Jouy Motif.

The Long Dress

It’s not easy to find the perfect maxi dress but this blue and white Dior dress comes pretty close. Featuring the Dior Palms motif with a heathered effect, the dress gathers at the waist before falling just above the ankle. This flattering style is reminiscent of the glamorous designs made popular with women in the 1950’s. With its striped silk canvas material, the dress seems to belong to a sultry Mediterranean summer.
