The Latest Restaurants to Try This Winter in Aspen

Defined by a sense of alpine luxury, Aspen is one of the top destinations for snow sports, shopping and après ski delights. Boasting five-star resorts, fine dining destinations and trendy bars, Aspen is a hotspot for tourists and avid skiers and with snow blanketing the slopes, peak season has well and truly arrived. Whether you’ve got a snowy escape to Aspen booked this winter or you’re a local on the hunt for new dining spots, here are the latest restaurants and cafes to open in Aspen, Colorado.


Set to open in December, Chica is an Aspen expansion from award-winning hospitality group, 50 Eggs Hospitality Group. Led by celebrity chef, Lorena Garcia, Chica will serve up classic Latin American cuisine and inventive cocktails. Chica will open at the Residences at the Little Nell.

Felix Roasting Co.

Situated in the charming historic Hotel Jerome, Felix Roasting Co. is Aspen’s latest coffee spot having opened just a few months ago. Furnished with velvety lounges, Felix Roasting Co. is the perfect cozy cafe to visit for your caffeine fix.

The Snow Lodge at St. Regis Aspen Resort

According to Vogue, The Snow Lodge inside the St. Regis Aspen is set to open a supper club in partnership with Stephane De Baets from New York-based Elevated Returns. Along with a sophisticated “Italian coastal” dining experience, The Snow Lodge Supper Club will offer a concert series this winter. And, following a successful winter pop-up, New York City’s Dante is set to take care of the drinks, mixing top notch cocktails for the supper club and setting up a Negroni fountain for the occasion.

Casa D’Angelo

Offering stunning views of the city and mountains, Casa D’Angelo is the newest Italian restaurant to open in Aspen. Led by celebrity chef, Angelo Elias, Casa D’Angelo dishes up classic Italian cuisine -think pappardelle ragù, polenta and fettuccine bolognese- and is situated on South Mill Street.

Catch Steak

Granting diners sweeping views of Aspen Mountain, Catch Steak on Hopkins Avenue is the latest outpost from the modern steakhouse born in New York. Featuring a basement dining room, private event space, fireplace and rooftop area, Catch Steak is set to open next month.
