The Louis Vuitton Twist Bag Review

Louis Vuitton’s iconic Twist Bag was first released in 2015 at the brand’s Cruise Runway show. The bag is available in a number of different styles, including the Twist Chain Wallet, Twist Belt Chain Wallet, Twist Mini, Twist PM, Twist MM and Twist Tote.

Louis Vuitton’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, based the Twist Bag on the brand’s 1988 Epi Trapeze clutch. Ghesquière’s signature reinvention features the distinctive twist-lock, bold hardware and a timeless design. Originally, the bag was released in the brand’s favoured Epi leather, however seasonal alterations see the bag appearing with new styles, colours and designs each season.

The Louis Vuitton Twist features a wave base, which subtly divides the bag into two sections. This provides the bag with extra space and makes it easier to find items. The bag comes with a short chain and a sliding shoulder strap, allowing the wearer to choose between cross-body, shoulder and hand-held styles. For the latest season’s 2021 reveal, the Twist bag is once again reinvented, this time featuring a mix of vibrant colours, a bi-coloured braided lock and an extra large leather strap.
