The Luxury Dive Watches You Need For Summer

While originally designed for people who spend a lot of time underwater, you definitely don’t need to be a diver to own a great dive watch. A dive watch usually has a water resistance around 200 to 300 metres deep, meaning that forgetting to take your watch off before jumping off the boat or into the pool is never going to be an issue. And when summer in Australia means swimming at the beach every day, a dive watch is a timepiece that you can wear all summer long. These are some of our favourite luxury dive watches for you to wear this summer.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

Released in 1953, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms has been a leader in the dive watch industry ever since. Embodying Blancpain’s passion for the marine world, the watch has been favoured by divers, scientists and underwater photographers in their exploration of the underwater world. We love the newly updated version of the Fifty Fathoms Automatique model with its ebony-black colour, satin-brushed titanium case and water resistance up to 300 metres deep.

Longines Legend Diver Watch

This classic diver’s watch is a reinterpretation of a timepiece from the 1960s. With its distinctive heritage features, the watch retains the spirit and clean lines of the original Longines watch, with a few necessary technical updates. Made in stainless steel, the watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside, as well as a self-winding mechanical movement beating at 25’200 vibrations per hour.

Orient Diver Watch

Since the mid-2000s, the Orient AA02 has been one of the most popular Orient series to date. For that reason, the brand recently decided to give the beloved watch an update. Now, the watch has given up its older 46943 automatic movements to a modern and more robust automatic and hand winding Caliber F6922 movement. Complete with a new 120-click bezel, the watch now has an improved precision while retaining its much loved aesthetic features.

Citizen Promaster Diver

This dive watch from Citizen not only offers water-resistance of depths up to 200 metres but is also sustainably powered by light through its Eco-Drive technology. This means that you won’t ever have to worry about the watch running on battery, especially during those light-filled summer months. With a stainless steel case, black polyurethane strap and a green, one-way rotating bezel, the watch is the perfect companion for any underwater adventure.

Omega Seamaster

The Omega Seamaster is a classic diver’s watch. Known as the Jame’s Bond watch from its inclusion in the franchise since 1995, the diver’s watch is now offered in a variety of models and styles. One of our favourite Omega Seamaster watch models is the Seamaster Professional Diver. With a water resistance of up to 300 metres and a co-axial master chronometer, the watch also features a blue ceramic bezel with a white enamel diving scale, laser-engraved waves and a date window at 6 o’clock. If you’re looking for a classic diver’s watch then you can’t go past an Omega Seamaster.
