The New Baltic 146 Path: World Cruiser and Racing Machine

Designed to cross oceans at speed and in superior comfort and style, Baltic Yacht’s new 146, Path, is the latest globe sailing racing machine from the Finnish luxury yacht makers.

Designed by Judel Vrolijk & Co, Path features a hydraulically lifting keel and detachable bow spirit making it a highly versatile and adaptable yacht. It is the third-largest by volume that Baltic Yachts has ever been asked to build and, according to Yachts International, was commissioned by ‘an experienced yachtsman with a specific vision of what he wanted in his new yacht.’

Measuring in at 146 feet, Path is designed to go the distance, reaching an average under sail speed of between 11 and 16 knots. The Baltic 146 is also Baltic Yacht’s first to be fitted with main propulsion and generating machinery of Tier III engine emission status in accordance with the standards set out by the International Maritime Organisation.

Solar panels sit atop the cockpit’s bimini which helps fuel the lithium-ion battery bank. This all makes Path significantly greener than its predecessors.

Inside, the owner of this incredible vessel can accommodate around 18 guests and crew thanks to spacious entertainment areas and a covered cockpit.

Luxurious timber finishes, as well as a large sleeping cabin, provide the perfect retreat after a long day of sailing.

Since Path was launched at Baltic Yacht’s waterside premises in Jakobstad, Finland earlier this year, it has sailed to 2021’s Monaco Yacht Show.
