Van Gogh’s Alive Exhibition is Coming to Perth

Hailed as the “most visited multi-sensory experience in the world”, the Van Gogh Alive exhibition will land in Perth on May 27 at the Supreme Court Gardens.

The immersive experience is a digital exhibition of the artists’ life work, complete with light and sound tricks, all set to a thrilling classical score. The exhibition has seen incredible success, visited by over 8 million people and popping up on a mass of Instagram feeds.

Acclaimed as one of the most influential figures in the Western art scene, Impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh was known for his bold colours and expressive brushwork. Throughout his career, he painted around 2,100 pieces of art including landscapes, stills, portraits and self-portraits.

Van Gogh also suffered from bouts of psychosis, delusions and rapidly declining mental health. As his works saw no success during his own life, he was largely considered a failure.

Today, his artworks are amongst the most expensive paintings to be sold in the world.
