Working From Home: The Unlikely But Predictable Return of Uggs

With more of us working from home than ever, comfort dressing continues to lead this year’s fashion trends. While UGG boots reached their peak in the early 2000s, the shearling lined shoes are making a definite comeback with an array of new styles and designs. Whether you like slides, slippers or the classic boot, these are the UGGs that you need to bring into your winter’s work from home wardrobe.

UGG slippers

In terms of style, versatility and comfort, UGG slippers have officially overtaken the boot. Regularly donned by celebrities, including Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez, the UGG slippers are being worn with everything from tracksuit pants to winter coats. While celebrities seem to favour UGG Scuffette slippers with it’s fluffy collar and slim base, we also love the quirky Coquette slippers and the Scuff Sis slippers for a little extra drama. All of the slippers are crafted from the brand’s signature sheepskin and suede material, giving you that extra level of comfort that you just can’t get from an ordinary shoe.

UGG slides

This year it seems that every brand from Gucci to OOFOS are making their version of the slide sandal. Favoured for their comfort and convenience, slides can give you that effortlessly cool look and UGG slides do just that. Made with a graphic statement band around the ankle, the chunky shoes feature all over soft sheepskin material for a comfortable trans-seasonal look. Making their rounds through Hollywood in an array of fun colours and styles, we’re big fans of the pretty Fluff Yeah slides in a muted pink.

UGG mini boots

If you still shamelessly love the classic UGG boots then the super cute UGG mini boots are for you. The shrunken version of the tall UGG boots bring the shoe into this style decade. Reading the lower ankle, or just above in the classic mini boots, the shoes are more flattering than the traditional taller boot style. While at their peak in the early 2000s, the boots were commonly worn with a luxe or designer tracksuit set, these boots are being paired with everything from activewear to leather blazers.
