Freedom Foods Group (FNP) has confirmed that it has not been affected by the recent Victorian and New South Wales bushfires.

The company says that none of its diary farms or site operations have been affected by the recent bushfires and sites remain fully operational.

“We have had no interruption to daily deliveries and we continue to monitor the situation,” the company told the market

“We are working closely with our farmers to ensure they are supported through this period to ensure that supply remains unaffected,” it added.

Through its partner Foodbank, Freedom says it has donated to the fire-ravaged communities in NSW, VIC and SA.

The largest producer of dairy in Australia, Australian Fresh Milk Holdings (AFMH), is also safe from the recent bushfires. Freedom Foods has a 10 per cent shareholding in AFMH.

The company is working closely with key retailers by increasing the supply of ultra-heat-treated (UHT) dairy beverages to help minimise the impact of any fresh milk storage.

“Our thoughts are with those that have been affected and Freedom is grateful for the efforts of the Rural Fire Service and other the services helping the communities impacted by these fires,” the company said.

On market close, Freedom Foods is down 4.71 per cent and is trading at $4.45 per share.
