Gage Roads Brewing Co (GRB) has announced its national sales and marketing team, Good Drinks, has partnered with San Miguel Brewery.

San Miguel Brewery is a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation, the largest public company in the Philippines, with a market cap of nearly $7 billion.

Since its establishment 130 years ago, San Miguel Corporation is now Southeast Asia’s largest publicly-listed food, beverage and packaging company. It has over 18,000 employees in over 100 major facilities throughout the Asia-Pacific region and an international reach of 50 countries.

Under the partnership, Good Drinks will exclusively import and distribute San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Mig Lower Carb and its specialty high alcohol beer brand, ‘Red Horse’ throughout Australia.

San Miguel’s range as part of the agreement.

“In keeping with our broader strategy, the addition of San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Mig Lower Carb and their specialty high alcohol brand Red Horse provides diversity and depth to our portfolio, access to broader segments of the beer market and scale for the Good Drinks national sales and marketing capability,” Gage Roads’ Managing Director John Hoedemaker said.

San Miguel’s brands complement the current Good Drinks product range. In particular, the partnership gives Gage Roads access to broader markets.

Additionally, the partnership strongly aligns with Good Drinks’ strategy of becoming the number one independent supplier to the national beer market and to access broader categories of the liquor market.

The agreement will commence in July and has a three-year term.

Company shares closed a slight 1.69 per cent in the green to trade for six cents each.
