Great Boulder Resources (GBR) has commenced a 5,000 metre aircore (AC) drilling program at its Whiteheads gold project north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The company says drilling is planned to test five regional targets at Blue Poles South, Tektite, Highbury, Jubilee North and the first drill program at the Eclipse prospect.
Drilling is expected to take approximately three weeks across the prospect.
Assays have been received from an AC drilling program in September and October last year which the company says include encouraging anomalous mineralisation.
During this program 122 holes were drilled at Whiteheads for 5,166 metres.
According to these results intersections are similar to areas where thick zones of gold mineralisation have been previously discovered.
The company is awaiting results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Side Well project where diamond drilling is scheduled to restart next month.
Side Well is north-west of Whiteheads near Meekatharra.
Great Boulder shares were trading down 3.7 per cent at 13 cents at 1.11pm AEDT.
