Hot Chili (HCH) has recorded “another exceptional result” at the Cortadera copper-gold porphyry discovery off the back of a major resource upgrade at its Costa Fuego copper hub in Chile.

Five development study diamond drill holes, of a six hole program, have been completed at Cortadera this year in preparation of the Costa Fuego pre-feasibility study, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2022.

Results from the first of these five diamond holes have delivered an “outstanding intersection” of 876 metres at 0.5 per cent copper equivalent, including 206 metres at 0.9 per cent copper equivalent.

Hot Chili said this latest significant drilling intersection from the main porphyry at Cortadera has provided the company further confidence in the recent resource upgrade for Costa Fuego.

Notably, according to the company, the remaining four diamond drill holes have visually recorded wide, strongly mineralised intersections, with assays pending.

Currently, two diamond drill rigs are in operation and one reverse circulation drill rig is undertaking exploration drilling at Productora, around 14 kilometres from Cortadera.

HCH shares are up 3.92 per cent and trading at $1.59 per share at 10:57 am AEST.
