Iceni Gold (ICL) has identified deep well gold anomalies through its air core (AC) drilling within the 14 Mile Well project on the western shores of Lake Carey in Western Australia.

The company had received all assay results from its 132-hole AC drilling program at Deep Well totalling 6860 metres surrounding the initial diamond drilling (DD) program.

The DD program followed up on the discovery of gold anomalism in historic exploration work and was designed to test down dip and along strike.

Drilling at target FMW44 identified two significant gold intersections at two metres at 0.14 grams per tonne gold from 34 to 36 metres at FMAC0022 and two metres at 0.13 g/t gold from 8 to 10m at FAMC0077.

The intersections were drilled upon significant historic drill results which included four metres at 0.66 g/t gold, four metres at 0.14 g/t gold and five metres at 3.22 g/t gold.

The gold anomalies identified is said to further reinforce the potential for the discovery of gold mineralisation within the 14 Mile Well Project.

Further, the company has received results of CSIRO UFF machine learning (ML) analysis across the entire 14 Mile Well Project area.

A review of these results is currently underway for the remaining targets in the Deep Well area.

It is anticipated that the review will assist the company with prioritising the Deep Well targets and other targets identified within the 14 Mile Well Project tenement package.

Follow-up exploration work at Deep Well has been scheduled for Q4 2022.

On market close, Shares in Iceni Gold were in the grey, trading at 11.5 cents.
