Jatcorp (JAT) is set to manufacture and sell immunity supplementary food.

In March 2020, Jatcorp teamed up with the University of Sydney to develop an antiviral food supplement that works against a range of diseases such as herpes, influenza and norovirus.

The product was then expanded to include SARS-CoV-2 which is the virus that causes COVID-19.

While all findings are yet to be received, Jatcorp has used the interim results to formulate five new supplementary food formulas.

These formulas contain bovine lactoferrin (BLf) and findings have demonstrated antiviral activity against herpes and SARS-CoV-2.

Jatcorp’s new products include a mixture of formulated milk powders and formulated supplementary food.

Commercial sales will begin in the second half of the year and will be sold throughout Australia, New Zealand and China.

Jatcorp is up 2.27 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 2.3 cents at 11:43 am AEST.
