Kairos Minerals (KAI) has identified two large gold targets at its Skywell Project in Western Australia.

These targets were identified from a recent geochemical sampling program and aeromagnetic survey.

These two gold targets include a robust and coherent anomaly, as well as a large gold and arsenic anomaly.

Kairos collected 689 soil samples which were sent to Labwest in Perth for analysis.

Kepler prospect

One of the new gold targets lies within the Kepler Prospect and is defined by a six-kilometre long geochemical anomaly which trends in a northwest-southeast direction.

Previous rock chip sampling programs have returned between 1.8g/t gold and 12.9g/t gold.

Akari prospect

The second target is situated in the Akari Prospect and is characterised by elevated gold, arsenic, tungsten, bismuth, molybdenum, lead, antimony, and tellurium mineralisation.

It spans a strike length of four kilometres and remains open in multiple directions.

Further in-fill and extensional soil sampling will be undertaken to identify the extension and nature of the anomaly.

“The delineation of these two large, robust gold targets at the Skywell Project follows the gold targets reported last week at our Kangan Project,” Executive Chairman Terry Topping commented.

“The two large anomalies reported in today’s announcement are characterised by robust gold values in the Ultrafine+ soil sampling program and sit in highly prospective geological positions coincidence with important regional structure and strong geophysical features,” he said.

“While we won’t be able to get on the ground to test all of these targets for drilling this year, we will be able to advance many of them to the next stage with follow-up in-fill geochemical sampling, mapping and additional fieldwork,” he added.

Kairos will now progress with the reverse circulation (RC) drilling currently underway at the Fuego prospect, and complete the SAM (sub-audio magnetic) survey at the Tierra prospect.

The company will also undertake an in-fill soil sampling program at the Kangan and Skywell projects.

Kairos is steady on the market and shares are trading for 6.6 cents each at 1:59 pm AEST.
