Kairos Minerals (KAI) has made a “strong start” at the Skywell Project in Western Australia, intercepting up to 12.9g/t gold.

Kairos aimed to target intrusive-related gold potential at the project, similar to De Grey Mining’s (DEG) Hemi Discovery, which lies 60 kilometres to the northeast.

23 rock chip samples were collected and taken to Intertek Laboratory in Perth, where they were analysed for gold and multi-elements.

Seven of the samples returned anomalous gold levels and further work is required to determine the extent of the mineralisation.

Significant results include 12.9g/t gold, 4.1g/t gold, and 2.9g/t gold.

“Our 2020 exploration field season is off to a great start, with our very first program of vehicle and helicopter-supported mapping and sampling at Skywell delivering some impressive gold grades from rock chips,” Executive Chairman Terry Topping stated.

“The presence of gold grades at these levels has defined a significant high-grade gold anomaly, which clearly warrants follow-up,” he added.

Kairos is now undertaking soil sampling and mapping at the Kangan Project as well as processing results from recently completed aeromagnetic surveys at the Pilbara Gold Project.

Further, earthworks at the Mt York and Fuego projects is scheduled to begin in mid-July and drill planning is currently underway at both.

Kairos is up a steady 12.8 per cent and shares are trading for 5.3 cents each at 1:54 pm AEST.
