Kaiser Reef (KAU) has identified new porphyry targets at its Stuart Town Gold Project in NSW.
This work was completed with assistance from Resource Potentials and Kaiser Reef has now outlined a series of promising gold targets for drilling.
Several of these targets are considered prospective for bulk tonnage gold mineralisation.
These targets were identified via a recently completed airborne magnetic survey, and after the data was processed and interpreted, a number of high priority gold targets have been identified.
What’s interesting is that these high priority targets represent different styles of potential mineralisation.
Some of the new targets include Kaiser Wilhelm, Specimen Hill, and Perseverance and Ginger Reef.
Kaiser Wilhelm
Kaiser Wilhelm is an intrusive target with large associated surface gold mineralisation and anomalous copper mineralisation over a magnetic anomaly.
Specimen Hill
This target has rhyolite (volcanic rock) hosts sulphide gold mineralisation.
Perseverance and Ginger Reef
These two targets host north-trending shear hosted gold mineralisation.
The remaining targets — Red Britton, Splitters Gully, Beehive, Horseshoe, Fitzsimmons, Mascotte, Iron Duke, Lady Carrington, and Swallows Nest — are all historic gold mines that are located along a northwest structural trend.
Now that these target areas have been defined, a drilling program is currently being prepared and discussions with drilling contractors has begun.
As there are some permitting requirements to complete, Kaiser Reef will begin drilling as soon as possible and will notify the market when it does so.
Company shares are down 9.09 per cent on the market and are trading for 30 cents each at 12:52 pm AEST.
