Kin Mining (KIN) has received assays from recent aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the East Lynne and Collymore prospects.

These prospects are located within Kin’s wholly-owned Cardinia Gold Project (CGP), near Leonora in Western Australia.

The initial program comprised 14 lines of aircore drilling at nominal 400-metre line spacing targeting a six-kilometre-long multi-element soil geochemical anomaly.

Best results from aircore drilling at East Lynne include eight metres at 1.52g/t gold from 16 metres, four metres at 1.27g/t gold from 20 metres, four metres at 1.67g/t gold from 20 metres and four metres at 4.18g/t gold from 28 metres.

In addition, Kin completed RC drilling to test a fresh rock zone of previously reported anomalous results at East Lynne and Collymore.

The program consisted of nine RC holes at East Lynne and two RC holes at Collymore to test the style, width and grade of mineralisation in the fresh rock zone below the aircore intersections.

Best results from RC drilling include two metres at 1.94g/t gold from 79 metres, one metre at 3.51g/t gold from 76 metres, one metre at 3.79g/t gold from 22 metres and one metre at 6.1g/t gold from 12 metres.

“The program has defined the East Lynne mineralisation at 200m line spacing over 3.2km in several semicontinuous positions. In addition, the program has also delineated a new zone of mineralisation at Collymore extending over a strike extent of 1200 metres,” Managing Director Andrew Munckton said.

Kin Mining also drilled three diamond holes to test the IP chargeability target at East Lynne. Results have been received for one of these holes which includes 0.7 metres at 1.95g/t gold from 78.4 metres and 1.7 metres at 1.44g/t gold from 51 metres.

“We continue to believe that East Lynne and Collymore represent significant mineralised targets within the Cardinia system. Based on the initial RC results and the in-fill AC drilling, we now believe that these targets are likely to be a series of smaller, adjacent, high-grade deposits rather than a single large deposit,” Andrew said.

RC and diamond drilling is continuing right up until the New Year and Christmas break, with drilling expected to resume early next year.

Additionally, the company it will soon have an interim update for its planned mineral resource estimate for the Cardinia Gold Project to be released some time this month.

Kin closed 3.03 per cent in the red with shares trading at 16 cents at market close.
