  • Latin Resources (LRS) has identified more high-grade halloysite within the Cloud Nine deposit, located in the wider Noombenberry project in Western Australia
  • Ongoing XRD analysis of the drilling at Cloud Nine returned best results of 19 metres at 23.4 per cent halloysite from 13 metres, including 2 metres at 50 per cent halloysite
  • High-grade results were returned from 14 holes, drilled as part of a 40-hole cross section program, and show the continuity of the halloysite bearing kaolinised granite
  • LRS will now analyse another 12 holes from Cloud Nine as the company aims to upgrade the Inferred Mineral Resource of 207 million tonnes of kaolinised granite to Indicated
  • Shares in Latin Resources are up 3.23 per cent at 3.2 cents each

Latin Resources (LRS) has identified more high-grade halloysite within the Cloud Nine deposit of the Noombenberry Project.

Located near Merredin, Western Australia, the deposit has a JORC-Compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 207 million tonnes of kaolinised granite.

The company has been carrying out close-spaced, geostatistical cross-drilling at Cloud Nine as part of wider plans to upgrade its Inferred Resource.

Ongoing XRD analysis of 14 holes drilled at Cloud Nine returned best results of 19 metres at 23.4 per cent halloysite from 13 metres, including 2 metres at 50 per cent halloysite.

Latin Resources explained the results “further demonstrate the consistent nature of the high-grade halloysite bearing material within the area tested”.

The company will now analyse 12 additional holes drilled at the southern end of the 40-hole drilling program at Cloud Nine.

LRS is also progressing initial desktop scoping studies, including detailed metallurgical test work, and updating the geological model and other studies.

All of this work, along with the next drilling analysis results, will hopefully lead to an upgrade of the deposit resource to Indicated or Measured.

Shares in Latin Resources were up 3.23 per cent at 3.2 cents each at 11:32 am AEDT.
