Lefroy Exploration (LEX) has received final results from a drilling program conducted at the Burns prospect within the Eastern Lefroy Project in WA.

The reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling program included four diamond tail holes, 22 RC holes and six RC pre-collar holes.

Pleasingly, the latest results have expanded the mineral system at the Burns’ prospect in all directions and uncovered three new open zones of copper and gold mineralisation. Drilling also extended the mineralised Eastern Porphyry 120 metres north so it now extends for 200 metres.

Best results from the diamond holes include 48 metres at 0.39g/t gold and 0.41 per cent copper from 146 metres, and 29.1 metres at 2.64g/t gold and 0.18 per cent copper from 277.4 metres including 0.5 metres at 81.7g/t gold and 1.44 per cent copper from 279 metres.

Additionally, results from the pre-collar holes include 39 metres at 0.55g/t gold and 0.28 per cent copper from 96 metres, 48 metres at 0.59g/t gold and 0.31 per cent copper from 84 metres, and 20 metres at 0.69g/t gold and 0.21 per cent copper from 44 metres.

Lefroy has recently commenced a 2000-metre diamond drilling program which is targeting the Eastern Porphyry.

Company shares have slumped 19.9 per cent to trade at 98.5 cents at 11:40 am AEST.
