Lefroy Exploration (LEX) has recommenced two major early-stage aircore drilling programs at its namesake gold project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
The company says both programs are focused on exploring new gold mineral systems in areas of limited or no previous drilling coverage.
The major works at the company’s Eastern Lefroy prospect is a 9000-metre air core drilling program which is evaluating multiple host rocks and target styles.
This project is a continuation and expansion of the lake drilling aircore drill program that
commenced in November 2021 at the nearby Lake Randall.
This program is scheduled to take six weeks to complete, with assay results expected from April.
The company’s other program at the Western Lefroy prospect has recommenced a 46,000-metre program designed to cover most of the land area of the tenement package.
The works here are expected to take at least six months to complete, with the first assay results to be reported by Gold Fields in April.
Shares were up 1.64 per cent, trading at 31 cents at 3:55 pm AEDT.
