Live Verdure (LV1) has bolstered its management team by appointing a former Swisse Wellness product manager as its Chief Technical Officer.

The hemp food specialist has assigned the role to Jonathan Do, who has 11 years of new product development and formulations experience across nutraceuticals, skincare, cosmetics, and more.

Jonathan started his new position at Live Verdure today.

LV1 Managing Director Ran Vaingold said Jonathan’s appointment marks an important step for the company to ensure it delivers both quality experiences and outstanding products to customers.

“Jonathan’s unique skill set and experience complement LV1’s strategy across its entire product range; to develop high-quality Australian hemp-based products to be sold into a growing global market,” Van said.

“Continuous innovation and product development are in our DNA. We truly believe Jonathan shares this trait and therefore will be a perfect addition to LV1’s team,” he said.

A strong track record

During his time as Technical and Product Development Manager at Swisse Wellness, Jonathan helped the wellness and beauty giant develop Australia’s first vitamin, herbal and mineral supplement to have been approved under China’s recently-introduced “blue hat” filing system.

According to LV1, Jonathan also helped Swisse develop several health and beauty hero products like Swisse Ultiboost Golden Collagen.

On top of this, Jonathan also spent time as a product development manager at Nutribiotech, which produces and supplies supplements in China, Korea, the U.S., and Australia.

Jonathan has also spent time with billion-dollar global pharmaceutical giant Catalent, where he invented a unique capsule delivery system and helped research and develop several over-the-counter drug products.

With all this experience behind him, Live Verdure is expecting Jonathan to help the company increase sales by developing and launching new products, maintain a competitive advantage in the hemp foods market, and engage with customers to offer a wider range of products.

Live Verdure is granting Jonathan two million company options exercisable at 30 cents each in three years time on top of his salary for joining the company. LV1 said this is part of its employee securities incentive plan.

Shares in Live Verdure closed grey this afternoon at 24 cents each. The company has a $13.26 million market cap.
