Western Australian gold and copper explorer M3 Mining (M3M) has completed a soil sampling program at the Edjudina gold project north-east of Kalgoorlie.

It has also appointed mining professionals Ziggy Lubieniecki and Chris Newman to bolster its expertise and guidance.

The survey was completed by Terra Search with the samples sent for assay and results to be released when available.

Roughly 1400 samples were collected across areas highlighted via a sub-audio magnetics survey completed in December 2021.

The aim of this survey was to trace out the known mineralisation and structural zone that hosts several major gold mines.

Once results from the survey program have been received, M3M will begin a maiden drilling program which is expected to start in late Q2 2022.

M3M has appointed Mr Lubieniecki and Mr Newman on a consultancy basis to provide additional geology expertise and guidance to the company.

Mr Lubieniecki has more than 30 years of experience in exploration, mining, management, property acquisitions and company listings.

He has previously been Chief Mine Geologist for Plutonic and Exploration Manager for Australian Platinum Mines. Currently, he is a Non-Executive Director at Hammer Metals (HMX) and Cosmo Metals (CMO).

At M3M, Mr Lubieniecki will further refine and progress exploration work programs and assist with target generation at the Edjudina and Victoria Bore projects.

Mr Newman is also an experienced geologist, having held senior positions with Alacer Gold and Avoca Resources.

He will aid in the advancement of M3M’s current projects and assist in identifying and evaluating possible acquisitions for the company.

“The company is pleased to report the completion of the geochemical survey exercise by Terra Search at Edjudina. This is the last step required prior to confirming gold targets for commencement of M3’s maiden drilling campaign at Edjudina,” Executive Director Simon Eley said.

“M3 is also very excited to announce that Ziggy and Chris have been engaged to assist in progressing current projects as well as provide valuable input into mining and resources assessment and evaluation ahead of potential acquisitions.”

Shares in M3M were down 8.82 per cent and were trading at 15.5 cents at 12:17 pm AEDT.
