Turtle Island is a 500-acre privately owned island in Fiji’s, Yasawa Islands. Since 1980, the Evanson family has operated a low density, a sustainable resort designed to offer an experience that brings out the best of the native lifestyle. Unlike other resorts, we want guests to know our Fijian staff personally, like family.
Dinner parties are held every night at several locations around the island, where guests can linger for hours among newfound friends. Experiencing this authentic Fijian culture is truly an experience of the heart. Water's Edge Villa
The Water’s Edge Villa is closest to the Blue Lagoon, and at high tide, the waters lap gently at the stone walkway and stairs leading into the villa. Centrally located, the villa is near the main dining area and our water sports area. This villa also offers a private outdoor shower.
The Grand Villas are located along the beachfront, overlooking the famous Blue Lagoon. Generous expanses separate these spacious, open plan villas, all landscaped for privacy. Each villa is slightly different in design and layout, reflecting its unique settings. Sit back and unwind.
Vonu Point Villa
Vonu Point is the premium villa on Turtle Island, situated on the Northern Point of the Blue Lagoon Beach. With its elevated position, it has magnificent views of the crescent-shaped Blue Lagoon Beach and across the lagoon to neighbouring islands. Inside, an inviting spa bath overlooks the archipelago. The villa opens onto a private garden, where you can enjoy 300-degree sweeping views from the day bed or the hammock.

The cuisine is very personal – inspired by a just-harvested island bounty and the tradition of local delicacies. Every Wednesday evening we prepare dinner in an underground oven called a lovo. This is Fiji’s traditional method of cooking — a shallow hole in the sand is filled with stones heated by fire. Atop the stones, wrapped delicacies are layered and cooked until tantalizing scents of the roast emerge.
