Mandrake Resources (MAN) has received results from an airborne electromagnetic survey at the Jimperding Project in Western Australia.

The AEM survey aimed to generate targets for mineralisation similar to that found at Chalice Mining’s (CHN) Julimar platinum group element-nickel-copper discovery which is located 28 kilometres from the Jimperding Project.

The data was reviewed by Southern Geoscience Consultant, which identified multiple electromagnetic (EM) conductors that Mandrake will follow up with field reconnaissance work and mapping.

“The airborne EM across Mandrake’s Jimperding exploration licence is a crucial baseline dataset that allows for the identification of bedrock conductive sources such as nickel sulphide mineralisation,” Managing Director James Allchurch said.

Final geophysical survey interpretation is yet to be received which means additional anomalies could be identified.

Additionally, the survey flew over the Newleyine prospect which is located at the southern end of the project. The survey confirmed a high-conductance EM response and drilling is expected to commence during this quarter.

Mandrake has now begun refining and prioritising the EM targets. Once this has been finished, it will initiate land access discussions. This will allow it to visit the site and characterise rock types to conduct initial mapping.

Company shares are up 4.82 per cent and shares are trading at 8.7 cents at 11:09 am AEDT.
