Metal Hawk (MHK) has identified a new drill target at the Torana prospect within its Berehaven project in Western Australia.

The Torana Prospect lies 1.5 kilometres north and along strike from the Commodore prospect which is where the company discovered high-grade nickel sulphides in 2021.

The off-hole conductor was identified through a downhole electromagnetic survey which was completed in multiple reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled at the Torana prospect.

The conductor, TDC_29, is situated to the north of the prospect and has a high conductance of 3000 siemens. Notably, the top edge of the off-hole conductor is positioned down-dip and 200 metres from disseminated nickel sulphide mineralisation intersected in BVNC020.

Results from BVNC020 include 10 metres at 0.55 per cent nickel from 130 metres within a broader zone of 30 metres at 0.37 per cent nickel from 125 metres.

Managing Director Will Belbin said the drilling has shown the ultramafics along the Commodore trend are fertile.

“At Torana we have intersected thick packages of high magnesium oxide rocks under cover, where no ultramafics have previously been identified,” Mr Belbin said.

“Situated beneath a zone of disseminated nickel sulphides, this new DHEM conductor presents as an exciting target which will be tested with deeper drilling.”

The company plans to undertake follow-up drilling at the Berehaven project within the next week. This RC program will further explore along strike from the disseminated mineralisation intersected at Torana.

Following this, the company will conduct diamond drilling on conductor TDC_29 with a target depth of 420 metres.

Metal Hawk will also completed additional DHEM surveys to better understand and refine the conductive target zone.

Company shares were up 6.25 per cent to trade at 17 cents at 2:12 pm AEST.
