Metal Hawk (MHK) has commenced diamond drilling at its Berehaven Nickel Project, near Kalgoorlie in West Australian goldfields.

A couple of weeks ago, the company found massive nickel sulphides grading 5.9 per cent nickel at the Commodore prospect

Berehaven is five kilometres north of the Blair Nickel Mine, which produced 1.26 million tonnes at 2.62 per cent nickel for 32,900 tonnes of contained nickel.

Commenting on the drilling is Managing Director Will Belbin.

“Diamond drilling has started exactly one month after the discovery RC hole which intersected high grade massive nickel sulphides at Commodore,” Mr Belbin said.

“Following last weeks’ successful capital raising we now look forward to progressing this exciting discovery with an aggressive drilling program.”

Reverse circulation drilling is also scheduled to recommence this week.

Last week, the company announced it will be undertaking a 2.4 million capital raise for its drilling program at Berehaven.

On the market today, Metal Hawk closed up 9.48 per cent at 63.5 cents per share.
