Education tech specialists MGM Wireless (MWR) has begun selling its products on Amazon UK.

Amazon will initially sell the SPACETALK kid’s smartphone watch and GPS device on Amazon.co.uk. which is the most visited e-commerce website in the U.K., reaching 51 per cent of the population.

The SPACETALK smartwatch allows parents to communicate with their children through 3G text message and mobile calls without allowing access to the internet.

This means that popular social media apps such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram cannot be accessed or used on the device.

Parents are able to block calls and messages from unknown numbers and will be notified if any try to call.

Further, it boasts the likes of GPS tracking that can send timed updates on the wearers’ location.

“The launching of our products for sale on the Amazon platform puts SPACETALK firmly on the main stage on the U.K., raising brand awareness and enabling the huge breadth of customers shopping on Amazon.co.uk to purchase our products without leaving the comfort of their coach,” CEO Mark Fortunatow said.

“Our positioning on the Amazon site delivers a fantastic user experience for customers from whom we have seen considerable interest and uptake since launching in the U.K.,” he added.

MGM Wireless is up 6.06 per cent and shares are trading for 17.5 cents each at 2:23 pm AEST.
