Minbos Resources (MNB) has completed its dry season environmental survey for the Cabinda Phosphate Project in Angola.

Environmental consultants, HCV Africa, completed the dry season survey for the Cácata Deposit and the Futila Granulation Plant. The survey included soil samples, along with flora, fauna and water to be analysed in the coming weeks.

Minbos says the Government of Angola has entrusted the company to sustainably manage the Cabinda Phosphate Project. This includes the use of land and ecological sensitivity, water consumption, and the socio-impact and cultural heritage of the surrounding community.

The company says the survey complements a wet season report completed in May, which underpins preliminary impact assessments, mitigation measures and monitoring requirements. Both surveys are considered essential for the completion of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments.

HCV Africa says it aims to complete the environmental reports by the end of this year.

Minbos Resources was up 7.14 per cent, trading at 10.5 cents at 3:30 pm AEST.
