Nanoveu (NVU) has dispatched the first sales orders for its antiviral protection products to AIBI.

AIBI is a Singapore-based fitness equipment and wellness provider to the Asia-Pacific region and, as of three weeks ago, is a distributor of Nanoveu's antiviral products.

Nanoveu's antiviral technology comes in the form of a screen protector and phone case which reportedly kills 99.99 per cent of viruses and bacteria in minutes.

The health care technology company also offers laminating machines for precise and bacterial free installation of its products on smart phones.

Importantly, the antiviral protection has also proven effective against OC43 which is a viral strain affecting humans and is also a surrogate for COVID-19. The product also fights against other bacteria and viruses including e.Coli, Influenza A (subtype H3N2), and coronavirus MHV-A59.

"Nanoveu continues to expedite its mobile phone protection product but is also taking advantage of strong take-up of commercial-sized sheets of anti-viral film which our distributors are looking to use for many expanding applications," Nanoveu Executive Chairman and CEO Alfred Chong said.

The initial dispatch will see Nanoveu meet its guidance for first revenues in early quarter three.

Nanoveu and AIBI expect to use the antiviral film for a number of things including protection for benches, computer screens and touch screen surfaces.

Keywest Technology, a business-to-business (B2B) supplier, has purchased Nanoveu's product and plans to apply it on a number of shopping centre digital kiosks.

"We are proud to be making a proactive step in partnership with Nanoveu to implement antiviral protection and offer peace of mind to consumers," Keywest Technology CEO and President Kyott Nichol said.

Nanoveu has also filled orders from customers across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Company shares are up 17.7 per cent and trading for 7.3 cents each at market close.
