Navarre Minerals (NML) has intersected up to 55g/t gold at its Irvine Gold Project in Victoria.

This result comes from the Resolution Lode prospect where a 12,000-metre diamond drilling program is underway to confirm the depth and strike potential to deliver a maiden mineral resource by the end of Q1 2021.

Best results include 0.6 metres at 55g/t gold from 494.1 metres, and 7.9 metres at 4.3g/t gold from 441.4 metres including one metre at 11.7g/t gold.

These results have extended to strike length of the gold mineralisation to 1.3 kilometres as well as enhanced the depth potential.

These results also show evidence of high-grade mineralised structures and associated quartz veining which require further investigation.

Drilling is about 80 per cent complete with Navarre to now focus on the northern area of the South Shoot where mineralisation is unconstrained at depth.

“Our ongoing diamond drilling program at Resolution Lode continues to deliver consistently strong intersections of gold mineralisation from within a well-defined lode channel,” Managing Director Ian Holland commented.

“We are presently on track to deliver our maiden mineral resource in 2021 and look forward to sharing the next round of results as we near the completion of our initial 12,000-metre resource definition drilling program,” he added.

Navarre will continue drilling and will update the market as work progresses and more results are received.

Navarre is steady on the market and shares are trading at 18.5 cents at 1:25 pm AEDT.
