Navarre Minerals (NML) has received further results from diamond drilling at its wholly owned Stawell Corridor Gold Project in Victoria.

The latest assays come from six holes completed at the Adventure prospect, where Navarre completed 2370 metres of expansional diamond core drilling out of a planned 500 metre program.

Best results from the drilling included 2.2 metres at 3.6g/t gold within a broader zone of 5.4 metres at 2.1g/t gold. Navarre says these results are consistent with its exploration target range of between 2.0 and 3.2g/t gold.

All six holes intersected the main mineralised quartz-sulphide structure where predicted, with varying widths and grades.

The focus of the drilling was to infill a 350-metre-gap in the strike extent between the previously drilled holes, which included the first recoded visible gold at the Adventure prospect. The structure remains open at depth and along strike with drilling indicating the potential for two ore shoots.

Navarre Managing Director Ian Holland says these results continue to advance the potential of the Stawell Corridor Gold Project towards a significant commercial deposit.

“We believe the ongoing campaign will add significantly to our resource base as we continue to execute our expansion diamond core drilling programs,” Ian Holland said.

The next five holes at Adventure will test underneath both gold shoots to examine their scope and extent.

Following a recent $14.9 million capital raising, Navarre says its sights are set on expanding its gold inventory with infill and step-out drilling on both the Resolution and Adventure prospects.

Navarre Minerals was up 2.22 per cent, trading at 9.2 cents at 1:45 pm AEST.
