Award-winning tech company NetLinkz (NET) has announced that Beijing iLinkAll Science and Technology will supply its VSN software in the Sichuan Province of China.

iLinkAll is a joint venture between NetLinkz’s subsidiary NetLinkz Technology Hong Kong and an entity chosen by iSoftStone Information and Technology Group.

The joint venture company was selected to provide the Virtual Secure Network (VSN) software as part of a World Bank-sponsored initiative in China.

This initiative includes improving water supply and sanitation in chosen areas of Deyang, within the Sichuan Province.

The VSN software will be used to securely connect nodes to assist with monitoring water supply and sanitation services.

“To be entrusted with securing the network that will lead to improved water supply and sanitation services in selected areas of Deyang Municipality is a great responsibility for iLinkAll,” iLinkAll President Zen Wang said.

The VSN software will be specifically supplied to the Jiajiang Qingyi Water Plant and Water Supply Construction Project which is aiming to supply water to Sichuan’s population of 81 million.

iLinkAll will provide development and technical services along with its software to the project.

The VSN software will bring secure remote connectivity of the automation control system and management integrated platform.

“To be the official secure networking partner of such a significant community project is a major milestone for iLinkAll and recognition of the quality of our product,” NetLinkz Executive Chairman James Tsiolis said.

The agreement is expected to generate material revenues for iLinkAll. For the 16-week design and implementation phase, the company will receive 5 million RMB (A$1.1 million).

iLinkAll will also get ongoing monthly licence fees once this phase is completed.

NetLinkz is down 2.94 per cent and shares are trading for 6.6 cents each at 3:29 pm AEDT.
