New Age Exploration (NAE) has received approval to undertake a 40-hole drill program within its northern package of Pilbara Gold projects.

Recently completed aeromagnetic surveys identified several discrete circular anomalies similar to De Grey Mining’s (DEG) Hemi gold discovery.

New Age concluded these anomalies require follow-up drilling to determine the potential.

This drilling will focus on the ‘Hemi-Style’ intrusions with aims of assessing gold deposits that lie adjacent to De Grey’s 2.2-million-ounce Mallina gold resources.

Additionally, the tenements lies roughly 50 kilometres of De Grey’s Hemi gold discovery.

Drilling is set to begin in mid-April with results expected in due course.

“We are extremely pleased to have secured a rig to complete this maiden round of drilling in the Pilbara. We are on track to commence drilling in April to assess the ‘Hemi Style’ gold targets generated from the recent aeromagnetic survey,” Executive Director Joshua Wellisch said.

“This is an exciting time as we progress forward with our entire gold portfolio,” he added.

Shares in New Age are steady on the market and are trading at 1.4 cents at 11:20 am AEDT.
