New World Resources (NWC) has received high-grade drill results from its Antler copper project in the US state of Arizona as it pushes to bring the deposit back into production.

The company received assays for 10 holes, with four drill holes aiming to extend the resource of the Main Shoot.

It said the results demonstrate the extension of mineralisation at Antler to over 800 metres down-dip from outcropping mineralisation at surface.

The deepest hole drilled to date at the project intersected a thick high-grade interval of mineralisation. This included 10.2 metres at 3.8 per cent copper, 6.5 per cent zinc, 0.5 per cent lead, 31 grams per tonne of silver (g/t), and 0.31 g/t of gold from 945.6 metres.

This hole is located about 70 metre down plunge from the company’s previous deepest intersection in the Main Shoot.

Another standout hole produced some of the best assay results recorded at the project. This included 41.8 metres at 2.5 per cent copper, 2.8 per cent zinc, 0.8 per cent lead, 37.1 g/t of silver, and 0.52 g/t of gold.

NWC expects the results to expand the resource base at the project, with the company continuing extensional drilling.

“The exceptional grades and thicknesses of the new mineralisation we continue to discover reaffirms why we are striving to bring Antler back into production as soon as practicable,” Managing Director Mike Haynes said.

“And while we do so, we will continue to explore to make the deposit bigger – as there is clearly substantial, untested potential.”

The remaining six holes were designed to better delineate remnant mineralisation around historical slopes.

The company intersected high-grade mineralisation in multiple shallow drill holes. Drilling is continuing with assays for 11 holes pending.

New World shares were trading down 1.59 per cent at 6.2 cents each at 12.02 pm AEST.
