Nova Minerals (NVA) has identified a further major mineralised zone within its flagship Estelle Gold Project in Alaska.

The Estelle Gold Project lies roughly 177 kilometres northwest of Anchorage and roughly 180 kilometres southeast of McGrath.

It is made up of 346 state mining claims and covers 220 square kilometres of mining claims on State of Alaska public land.

Rock chip sampling was undertaken at the Train Prospect to collect samples of high-grade sheeted vein style gold mineralisation.

At the Train Prospect, Nova discovered anomalous gold in outcrop throughout a six-kilometre traverse and extending into the Shoeshine Prospect.

The mineralisation spans a length of one kilometre and 500 metres in width at the Train Prospect and one kilometre in strike length at Shoeshine.

Similar mineralised zones were identified at the nearby Shadow and Discovery prospects.

Additionally, grades ranged between 5.4 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) to 30.4g/t gold.

Planning for follow up geophysics and drilling program are now underway for the Train Prospect with work set to begin in 2022.

CEO Christopher Gerteisen commented on the sampling program.

“More exciting news from the Estelle Gold Project. The second rock chip sampling program as part of the 2021 reconnaissance exploration program has delivered more high-grade results in what appears to be another massive intrusive related gold system (IRGS) at Train,” Mr Gerteisen said.

“The combination of historic sampling and our recently completed sampling campaigns in the Train Prospect area have identified two discrete zones of high-grade gold mineralisation which are interpreted as part of the same very large IRGS mineralised system.”

“Field teams will be following up on this work with detailed geophysics and mapping in preparation for a future maiden drilling program, which will commence as soon as possible.”

Shares in Nova were up 3.45 per cent on the market and were trading at 15 cents at 10:43 am AEST.
