NRW Holdings’ (NWH) shares are up on news of new contracts for two of its subsidiaries, Primero Group and RCR Mining.

Primero Group

Primero has been awarded a new contract from Strandline Resources (STA) for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the Coburn Minerals Sands project.

The project will include the delivery a wet concentrate plant and minerals separation plant to produce saleable premium-quality final products, including chloride ilmenite, rutile, zircon and zircon concentrate.

This award follows the early contractor involvement that was awarded in the third quarter of 2020 and was later converted to a front-end engineering design to further optimise the project.

It is expected the project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022.

“The award of this EPC contract with Strandline demonstrates the diversity and quality of the Primero Minerals business, which is strengthening its reputation as a preferred contractor of choice in minerals processing,” NRW CEO Jules Pemberton said.

RCR Mining

Additionally, RCR Mining Technologies have won a $27.2 million contract from Fortescue Metals (FMG).

The contract is for the design and construction of a primary crushing plant at FMG’s Cloudbreak mine.

Notably, RCR is teaming up with Primero, which will provide engineering support and construction services at Cloudbreak.

This project will be complementary to the Solomon Hub Conveyor and Crushing plant, where RCR is currently delivering for FMG.

“I’m delighted that our Minerals Energy and Technology team of RCR Mining Technologies, DIAB and Primero are able to collaborate once again on another project for Fortescue and continue to innovate through smarter engineering solution,” Jules told the market.

On the market, NRW is up 2.56 per cent and is trading at $2.01 per share at 12:55 pm AEST.
