Ocean Grown Abalone (OGA) has achieved a record monthly sales revenue of $553,000 in April.

This is despite the ongoing impact COVID-19 is having on international food service and the restaurant business.

For the nine months to April 30, OGA packed and distributed a record 62.6 tonnes of product and had a record harvest of 65 tonnes.

The increase in demand and sales was met through revised sales and marketing strategies as well as the development of new markets in Taiwan and the U.K.

By working with its high-end strategic partners, OGA has created a Whole in Shell 1 kilogram box.

Whilst primary focus is on the food service industry, there is the ability for packs to be sold through retail outlets and international supermarket chains.

Many of OGA’s reefs are now entering their primed growth phase which allows for higher production, increased margins and larger sizes.

Over the next 12 months OGA will aim to achieve another record production year.

OGA has ended the day a slight 1.25 per cent in the green with shares trading at 8.1 cents in a $16.05 million market cap.
