Ora Banda Mining (OBM) has appointed Luke Creagh as its new CEO.
The new appointment follows the resignation of Managing Director and CEO Peter Nicholson back in April to “move on to a new challenge”.
Formerly the Chief Operating Officer of Northern Star Resources (NSR), Mr Creagh will take up his new position immediately on a yearly salary of $400,000.
The new CEO is a mining engineer with over 20 years experience working for both contracting and mining companies at projects throughout Australia and overseas.
Ora Banda’s chairman Peter Mansell said Mr Creagh’s appointment is a major boost for the company.
“We couldn”t be happier that Luke is joining us.
“He has had considerable experience managing mining operations and is highly qualified to guide Ora Banda through its current operational reset plan.
“We look forward to working with him for many years to come and are confident that, together, we can extract maximum value from Ora Banda’s highly prospective land package”.
Andrew Czerw stepped in as interim CEO following Mr Nicholson’s decision to resign. In recognition of his efforts, the board has granted Mr Czerw 10 million performance rights, subject to certain conditions.
“Andy, at short notice, made himself available to take on the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer and has initiated and guided the company through the operational reset plan.
“We cannot thank him enough for his hard work and commitment,” Mr Mansell said.
