Orocoda (ODA) will provide transit and rideshare service to the Mt Buller Ski Resort near Melbourne in Victoria.

The new long term contract with the Mt Buller & Mt Stirling Resort Management Board is made up of a five-year term and two additional two-year options.

It is expected to generate between $2 million and $3 million per annum and possibly up to $30 million over nine years if it runs for the full term.

Orocoda Managing Director Geoff Jamieson said that despite COVID-19 dampening the upcoming ski season (officially kicking off on June 22, 2020) the contract will provide long-term benefits.

“Mt Buller has the largest ski lift network in Australia. It is the closest ski field to Melbourne and fields a seasonal calendar of high profile international events that draws skiers and spectators from near and afar,” Geoff commented.

“Orcoda was awarded this long term contract to provide transport services by the Mt Buller Resort because Orcoda management have a proven history of effectively managing high volume transport requirements, with long term customers, across multiple industries, whilst utilising best in class efficiency and optimization software,” he added.

“We also had multiple customers that have been willing to vouch for our skills and reliable service levels. COVID-19 restrictions may have an effect on our achievements this ski season but the nature of this agreement should provide long term benefits to the customers of Mt Buller Resort and Orcoda stakeholders,” Geoff continued.

Orocoda shares closed flat today, worth 11 cents each at market close.
