Field work at Paterson Resources (PSL) Pilbara tenements has currently begun as the soil geochemical survey is “well underway”.

The field team was moved to the Pilbara earlier this month and is undertaking the soil sampling over high priority targets at the Bellary, Cheela Plains and Hamersley projects.

A total of 1132 samples will be collected in total from all three projects and aim to better define targets for drill testing.

Paterson is also well advanced in its planning for an aggressive drilling program at the Grace gold-copper project, which is located 25 kilometres southeast of Newcrest’s (NCM) Telfer Mine.

This drilling program is planned to commence in the second quarter of 2022.

Executive Director Matt Bull said he is pleased to “have boots on ground in the Pilbara” with the soil geochemical survey commencing.

“We have expanded the company’s exploration team with field staff dedicated to following up high priority gold and base metal targets at Bellary, Cheela Plains and Hamersley,” he said.

“Coupled with an aggressive reverse circulation (RC) drilling program due to commence at the Grace Project in the highly prospective Paterson Province as well an RC drilling program to extend mineralisation at the Lloyds copper project when weather conditions in the project area allow, the company looks forward to updating the market in the coming months.”

Paterson is in the green on the market today, trading up 4.55 per cent at 2.2 cents per share at 1:30 pm AEDT.
