PepinNini Minerals (PNN) has been awarded a new exploration licence as part of its wider Eyre Peninsula Kaolin Project in South Australia.

The exploration licence application (ELA) was filed back in October 2020 — one of two applications the company inherited as part of its kaolin project acquisition in April.

The first of the ELA’s were issued in September, while the second licence — which covers an area of 548 square kilometres — was issued this week.

The ELA lasts for six years and both of the licences are located near fellow ASX-lister Andromeda Metals’ (ADN) kaolin project.

PNN has already lodged an exploration program approval application with the South Australian Department of Energy & Mines.

Following the receipt of the second ELA, PepinNini will add the newly granted licence area to the proposed work program.

In terms of the wider development of the Eyre Peninsula Kaolin Project, PNN said it would begin engaging with community members about land access.

The company will also progress with planned drill testing of 11 targets zones which have been identified, with work underway to find additional targets.

PepinNini Minerals shares opened Wednesday trading at 64 cents each.
