Pointerra3D (3DP) has signed two new contracts with Florida Power and Light (FPL) and NextEra Energy, delivering a combined revenue total of at least US$500,000 per annum.

FPL will utilise the company’s Answers product to support its storm response program by utilising airborne LiDAR to extract insight immediately after a storm event.

Revenue from this contract will be determined by the number, frequency, and severity of storms, but the company expects to receive at least US$250,000 (A$362,000) per annum.

In addition, Pointerra3D entered an enterprise subscription agreement with NextEra Energy to support the development of solar energy projects across the US.

This agreement will see the use of its Analytics product and follows the successful completion of a previous project.

Revenue is also expected to be no less than US$250,000 per annum from this agreement.

Looking ahead, the company hopes to achieve further growth in the US energy utility sector from its existing customers.

Shares were trading 18.4 per cent higher today at 22.5 cents each at 1:23 pm AEST.
