Pure Foods Tasmania (PFT) will launch its new range into 850 national Woolworths stores from mid October.

The company will launch three premium 150 gram ‘Homestead by Tasmanian Pate’ products at Woolworths with all three to be produced in Tasmania and use 100 per cent Tasmanian ingredients where possible.

The three products include free-range Tasmanian chicken & cracked pepper pate, Tasmanian salmon with lemon pepper jelly, and duck pate with Tasmanian brandy.

Pure Foods said it has been working closely with its major customers to identify key trends in growth categories.

Previously, the company said it has seen strong demand for its pate products during recent times. The additional three products are expected to increase Pure Foods sales by approximately 35 per cent and the Tasmania Pate division’s sales
by over 45 per cent for the 2021 financial year.

“Tasmania has always been known for its premium produce which is shown through the rustic and provincial Tasmanian landscape,” Marketing and Brand Manager Anita Wheeler said.

“The new range aims to showcase our beautiful produce in partnership with suppliers, whilst also representing the Tasmanian homestead narrative,” she added.

Export sales

The new range has also seen support from Woodbridge Smokehouse’s existing long-term customers in Asia.

“This is a great credit to the team at Pure Foods working with Woolworths to develop a first for the pate category,” Managing Director Michael Cooper said.

“We believe these new products are unique and aligns with our strategy to produce
great tasting premium food using 100 per cent Tasmanian ingredients where possible. We are also on track to deliver our 100 per cent Tasmanian meal solution range in FY21,” he added.

On market close, Pure Foods is up 21.7 per cent and is trading for 36.5 cents per share.
