Raiden Resources (RDN) has completed a maiden drilling program at its Arrow North gold project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

The company put down 39 reverse circulation (RC) holes for an aggregate drilling coverage of 4,856 metres.

Raiden said it expects to receive laboratory results for Arrow North within four to six weeks.

When drilling recommenced in early January, the focus of the phase-one RC drill program shifted to the discrete targets in the northern part of the project area.

The company said a recent high resolution aeromagnetic survey identified magnetic responses in the northern sector that were indicative of small volume and linear Indee Suite intrusions in a setting analogous to De Grey Mining’s (DEG) Hemi gold discovery.

The targets were covered by aeolian, transported sands and Raiden said the assay results from the scout drilling of these targets were eagerly awaited.

Raiden has also started pre-drill work in preparation for a maiden round of drilling at its Vuzel gold project in Bulgaria and planning for a maiden drill campaign at its Mt Sholl base metals project in WA.

RDN shares last traded at 1.8 cents.
