Recharge Metals (REC) has intersected significant copper mineralisation through diamond drilling at the Brandy Hill South project in WA’s Murchison province.
The company completed a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program in January which included 20 holes.
Last month, results were received for four RC holes which returned 12 metres at 1.2 per cent copper from 74 metres including four metres at 2.87 per cent copper from 74 metres, and one metre at 5.92 per cent copper from 147 metres. Assays are pending for 16 holes.
Recharge then selected three holes to be extended with diamond tails to provide structural and lithological information.
The company expects the diamond holes will give it a better understanding of the primary mineralisation as well as the apparent supergene mineralisation seen within the oxide/transition zones of the weathered profile.
Recharge Metals has made some encouraging preliminary observations within diamond hole BHRCD019.
From 92 metres to the end of the hole at 393 metres, the company identified blebby and massive sulphides, brecciated zones of semi-massive sulphide and associated sulphide veins, and disseminated sulphides including copper sulphide mineralisation.
The mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike.
“It is an outstanding result to observe abundant copper sulphide mineralisation from 92 metres to end of hole at 393 metres,” Managing Director Brett Wallace said.
“We are very pleased with the observations made so far and we look forward to completing the remaining two diamond tails and receiving assay results.”
Drill core from BHRCD019 will be further logged ahead of sampling and analytical testing. The company will provide another update once results are received.
REC shares have skyrocketed 269 per cent to trade at 48 cents however trading was temporarily paused following this morning’s announcement. Another announcement is reportedly pending.
