Red River Resources (RVR) has released its quarterly activities report detailing increased production at Thalanga in Queensland.

During the quarter ending March 31, 2020, mining production was ramped up at the project in the northern part of the state, producing a total of 91 kilotonnes of ore. This was compared to 60 kilotonnes in the previous quarter.

The amount of ore processed was also increased from 66 kilotonnes in the second quarter to 84 kilotonnes in the third quarter. As a result, there was a greater volume of zinc and lead concentrate produced and even a record amount of copper concentrate produced.

A total of 4320 tonnes of zinc concentrate was produced during the quarter compared to 3781 tonnes in the previous one. Lead concentrate jumped to 1117 tonnes in the third quarter from 876 tonnes in the second.

As for copper concentrate production, that increased 48 per cent to a record total of 2310 tonnes.

Meanwhile, in March mining activities ceased at the West 45 underground mine, the first deposit within the project to be mined since concentrate production recommenced in 2017.

Red River shares are trading 9.38 per cent higher for 7 cents each at 3:25 pm AEST.
